Cypher LM Website Widget Adds Text Chat and a 25-Second Call Reconnect

Website visitors can now type to the same agent they would talk to, and a dropped call can resume the same conversation instead of starting over

LAHORE, Pakistan – Not every website visitor wants to talk out loud. Some are in an open office, some are on a train, and some simply prefer to type. And when a web call drops because a laptop goes to sleep or a connection blinks, nobody wants to explain everything again. The Cypher LM website widget now handles both: visitors can chat by text with the same agent, and a dropped call can reconnect within about 25 seconds and carry on where it left off.

The widget is the small pill a business adds to its website with two lines of code. It now shows two buttons side by side: Start call for a voice conversation and Chat for text. The chat panel connects the visitor to the same Cypher V agent, with the same knowledge, the same tone and the same rules the business set in the wizard, so the answers are consistent whichever way the visitor chooses to talk. Only one panel is open at a time, so the widget stays compact on small screens, and visitors can move from chat to a call if they decide they would rather talk.

The reconnect window keeps conversations intact. After a widget call ends, the visitor can reconnect for about 25 seconds, and the agent picks up the same conversation with everything that was already said. A New call option lets the visitor skip the reconnect and start fresh. In the dashboard, the two parts of a reconnected conversation are linked, so the team sees one continuous story. The window is short on purpose: long enough to recover from a dropped connection, short enough that a new visitor on a shared computer does not inherit someone else's conversation.

“A dropped call should not cost the customer their place in the conversation,” said Muhammad Maaz, co-founder and CTO of Cypher LM. “With the reconnect window, the agent remembers what the caller just said and carries on, and with text chat, the visitor who cannot talk right now still gets the same answers.”

The release also makes calls more dependable. The widget asks for microphone permission before it connects, so a slow permission prompt no longer looks like a busy line, and it shows clear messages when something does go wrong instead of a generic error. It works on websites with strict security settings, so visitors are heard throughout the call. Connection attempts have a clear time limit, and a visitor who loses their connection is told what happened and offered a way back in.

During a call, the widget can also show in-call cards. When the agent books an appointment through Cypher S, the visitor sees the confirmed time and the Google Meet link on screen; when the agent requests a payment through Cypher P, a secure payment card appears with the amount. The widget recognises a returning browser, which helps the agent keep one booking per customer and gives Cypher M the full history for its next brief. Chat conversations are stored alongside calls, so the team can review what was typed with the same care as what was said.

For businesses, nothing extra needs to be configured. Text chat and the reconnect window are switched on for every agent and need no setup, no extra code and no change to the business's website. Existing widgets gain text chat and the reconnect window automatically, and the embed code from the agent's Deploy tab stays the same. Businesses that already run the widget on several pages see the new buttons everywhere at once.

“The widget is often the first conversation a customer has with a business,” said Muhammad Maaz, co-founder and CTO of Cypher LM. “It should work the way people do: talk when you can, type when you cannot, and never start over because of a bad connection.”

Text chat and the 25-second reconnect are available today in every Cypher LM website widget. Businesses can try the widget on their own site during the seven-day free trial, or book a demo to see it live.
