Cypher P Brings Payments to the Call: Secure Payment Links with Stripe, Bank Transfer, JazzCash and Easypaisa
The Cypher LM voice agent can now request a deposit, fee or invoice payment during the conversation and put a secure payment link on the customer's screen
LAHORE, Pakistan – The best moment to collect a deposit is while the customer is still on the call and ready to commit. Waiting for an invoice gives them time to forget, and a booking without a deposit is easier to abandon. Cypher P, the payments product in the Cypher LM platform, lets the Cypher V voice agent request a payment during the conversation and gives businesses reusable payment links for everything else.
When a caller agrees to a deposit, a booking fee or an outstanding balance, the agent creates a payment request for the right amount and description. A secure payment link appears on the caller's screen during a web call, and is emailed to them when their email is known. The agent tells the caller the link is on its way instead of reading out long URLs, and the conversation carries on. The payment request is linked to the call, the customer and any booking it belongs to, so the team can see later exactly which conversation produced it.
The payment page shows the business name, the amount and what the payment is for. Customers can pay by card through Stripe when the business has connected its own Stripe account, or follow instructions for bank transfer, JazzCash or Easypaisa, each with a reference code so the business can match the payment. The page updates when a card payment goes through, and the customer receives a receipt. Customers paying by bank transfer, JazzCash or Easypaisa follow the instructions the business has saved in its payment settings, and the team confirms the payment once it arrives.
“Businesses in Pakistan and abroad get paid in different ways, and a payments product has to respect that,” said Muhammad Maaz, co-founder and CTO of Cypher LM. “Cypher P takes card payments through the business's own Stripe account and shows bank transfer, JazzCash and Easypaisa details just as clearly, so the customer can pay the way they normally pay, while they are still on the call.”
In the dashboard, the Payments section shows an overview of what has been collected and what is pending, a list of every payment with its status, and the reusable payment links the business has created for common services. Card payments can be refunded through Stripe from the dashboard, and manual payments are marked as paid by the team once the transfer arrives. Payments can be recorded in PKR or USD. Each payment shows where it came from, a call, a booking or a payment link, along with the customer's name and contact details, so the team can follow up on anything still pending with full context.
Security was part of the design. Each business connects its own Stripe key, which Cypher LM stores encrypted and checks with Stripe before saving. Payment links use long, unguessable tokens, and roles control who in the team can see payment amounts or mark a payment as paid. Cypher LM never shows full card details to the business or the agent; card payments are handled on Stripe's own secure checkout.
Payments work together with the rest of the platform. A booking made by Cypher S can carry a deposit request, the payment appears in the customer's history for Cypher M's next brief, and paid and pending payments can be logged to the business's Google Sheet call log. Taking payments is switched on per agent with the Take payments on calls setting. A business can keep one agent for general questions and another that takes deposits, each with its own settings.
“A booked appointment with a paid deposit is a commitment, not a maybe,” said Muhammad Maaz, co-founder and CTO of Cypher LM. “Cypher P turns the moment a customer says yes into a completed payment.”
Cypher P is available to Cypher LM accounts as part of the Premium plan, as an add-on, and during the seven-day free trial. Card payments require a connected Stripe account; bank transfer, JazzCash and Easypaisa instructions are available to every Cypher P account. Learn more about Cypher P payments.
