Calendar connections
Quick answer
To connect a calendar:
- Go to Settings › Integrations.
- In the Google card, select Connect next to Google Calendar.
- Sign in to Google and allow access.
- Open Bookings › More actions › Hours and choose where bookings go under Add bookings to.
When your agent books an appointment during a call, it needs to know when you are free and where to put the booking. Cypher S, the scheduling product in Cypher LM, uses your saved hours for this, and when you connect a calendar it also respects everything already in your diary. This article explains which calendars are supported and what connecting one changes.
Supported calendars
Calendar | Status | What it does |
|---|---|---|
Google Calendar (including Google Workspace) | Available | Checks busy times, adds bookings, invites the customer, creates Google Meet links |
Outlook Calendar | Coming soon | Listed under More integrations in Settings › Integrations |
No calendar | Always available | Bookings are kept in Cypher LM only, using your saved hours |
Outlook, Office 365 and Exchange calendars cannot be connected yet. If you use Outlook, you can still take bookings: they are stored in Cypher LM and shown in Bookings, and your agent offers only the hours you set. Just remember to keep your Cypher LM hours up to date with your Outlook diary.
What connecting Google Calendar does
- Avoids clashes: busy times in the calendars you choose are never offered to callers, wherever the booking is added.
- Adds bookings to your calendar: each booking becomes an event in the calendar you pick, with the customer invited as an attendee.
- Creates Google Meet links: appointment types set to Video call get their own Meet link automatically. See Video conferencing.
- Feeds My calendar: your bookings appear in Bookings › My calendar alongside an AI brief for each client.
If Google Calendar is connected after a booking was already made, or the first attempt to add an event fails, Cypher LM retries in the background a few times and shows the result on the booking.
Connect and choose your calendars
- Go to Settings › Integrations. In the Google card, select Connect next to Google Calendar, or Connect Google to grant every Google service at once.
- Sign in with the Google account that holds your work calendar and allow the requested access. You return to Cypher LM when you are done.
- Open Bookings, select More actions (the three dots) and choose Hours.
- In the Calendar section, set Add bookings to to Main calendar, or keep Cypher LM only (no Google Calendar) if you only want Google used for conflict checks.
- Under Check these calendars for conflicts, tick every calendar whose busy times should block bookings, then save.
The full walkthrough, with screenshots of each setting, is in How to connect your Google Calendar.
If you change calendars
To move to a different Google account, disconnect Google in Settings › Integrations, then connect again with the new account and pick your calendars again in Hours. Bookings already made stay in Cypher LM and in the calendar they were added to.
Plans
