Quick answer

To create a call task:

  1. Select Tasks Agents in the sidebar.
  2. On Tasks, create a task and describe who to call and why.
  3. Pick the Agent and How to reach them.
  4. Select Create task and check the Result when it's done.

Tasks Agents lets your agent reach out to customers for you: chasing a missing document, confirming details, collecting feedback or reminding someone about a renewal. You tell it who to contact and what the conversation should achieve, and it reports back with the outcome and the answers it collected.

How customers are reached

Real phone calls need a phone number connected to your account. Until then, tasks reach customers with a personal call link they open in their browser: we email it to them, or you can share it yourself, for example on WhatsApp. The banner at the top of the page tells you which mode you're in:

  • Phone calling isn't set up yet: the Phone call option shows as Phone call (not set up yet) and tasks use Personal call link.
  • Phone calling is on: tasks can call customers directly.

To connect a number, see Ways to deploy your agent.

Create a call task

  1. Select Tasks Agents in the sidebar and stay on the Tasks tab.
  2. Start a new task. In Tell Cypher who to call, write the request in a sentence, for example "Call Emily Carter about her missing ID copy and ask when she can send it", then select Fill in the form.
  3. Check the Agent, Customer name, Phone and Email. Only live agents can be chosen.
  4. Edit What should the call achieve? and add Answers to collect, one per line.
  5. Choose How to reach them and When: Now or Schedule for later.
  6. Select Create task.

Follow a task

The task list shows the customer, what it's about, the agent, status, result and when it was created. Statuses include Queued, Link sent, Calling, In progress, Done, No answer, Failed and Phone not set up. Results are Achieved, Partly, Not achieved or Unreachable.

Open a task to see the Outcome, Answers and Next steps. From there you can Open the call, Send as a link instead, Try again or Cancel task. The Call link section shows whether the customer has opened their link.

The stats at the top of the page show how many tasks are Queued, how many are Completed and your Achieved rate, the share of completed calls that reached their goal.

Run a campaign

A campaign runs the same task over a list: feedback calls, renewals or reminders. Results land in one table you can export.

  1. Select the Campaigns tab and create a new campaign.
  2. Enter a Campaign name, choose the Agent and write What should the call achieve?
  3. Under Contacts, paste a CSV with name, phone and email, one contact per line.
  4. For phone campaigns, set Calling hours (10:00 to 18:00 by default).
  5. Select Create campaign, then Start. You can Pause or Cancel campaign at any time.
  6. When it finishes, select Download results (CSV).

Common questions

Can the agent call any number?

Phone calls work only once a number is connected to your account, and our team sets that up with you. Until then, customers join through their personal call link in a browser, on a phone or a computer.

What does the customer hear?

Your agent introduces itself with its usual name and voice, explains why it's calling and works toward the goal you wrote, asking the answers you listed.
