Getting started with Cypher LM

Quick answer

To get up and running:

  1. Sign in to the Cypher LM dashboard with Google or your email.
  2. Request your free trial from Get Basic and wait for approval.
  3. Go to Agents and select New agent.
  4. Select Test call on your agent, then add it to your website from Deployment.

Cypher LM gives your business a voice agent that answers every customer call, books appointments, takes payments and writes notes, grounded in your own business knowledge. This article walks you through your first hour: signing in, starting the free trial, building an agent, testing it and putting it in front of customers. It ends with a short tour of the dashboard so you know where everything lives.

1. Sign in and request your free trial

Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial that unlocks every product: Cypher V, S, M, N and P. Since October 2026 trials are switched on by our team rather than automatically, so the first step is a short request.

  1. Open the Cypher LM dashboard and sign in with Google, or with your email address.
  2. If you see the banner Your 7-day free trial isn't active yet, select Get Basic. You can also fill in the free trial request form.
  3. Tell us a little about your business and submit the request. The banner changes to say we are reviewing it.
  4. When the trial is approved you get an email, and the dashboard shows a countdown of the days left. The 7 days start from approval, not from sign-up.

You can explore the dashboard and build an agent while the request is pending. If the request isn't approved, you can still choose a plan on the pricing page or send us more details about your business.

2. Build your first agent

An agent is the voice that answers your calls. Building one takes a few minutes and needs no code.

  1. In the sidebar, select Agents, then New agent.
  2. Choose how to start: Scan my website reads your site and fills in the basics, or Start from scratch if you'd rather type everything yourself.
  3. Pick what the agent is for (for example a receptionist or appointment booking), give it a name and choose a voice.
  4. Turn on any skills you want, such as Book meetings or Take payments.
  5. On the Try it step, wait for setup to finish, then select Start a test call.

The full walkthrough, including the longer guided setup, is in How to build your first agent.

3. Teach it your business

Your agent answers from what you give it. Upload your price list, FAQ document or policies on the agent's Knowledge tab so it can answer real questions accurately instead of saying it will get back to the caller. See How to upload knowledge files.

4. Put it in front of customers

When the test call sounds right, open the agent's Deployment tab. The website widget is a two-line code snippet you paste into your site, and it is the main way customers reach your agent today. You can also share a call link with your team, and connect a phone number with our help. Ways to deploy your agent compares the options.

5. A quick tour of the dashboard

The left sidebar groups everything by what you are doing:

Press ⌘K (or Ctrl+K on Windows) anywhere in the dashboard to open the command palette and jump straight to a page, an agent or a setting. Some pages, such as Deploy and Contacts, are reached from inside other sections or from the command palette rather than the sidebar.
