Ways to put your agent in front of customers
Quick answer
To choose how customers reach your agent:
- Open Agents › Deploy, or open an agent and select Deployment.
- Use Website widget to add a voice-call button to your website.
- Use Share links to send the agent's call link and QR code to your team.
- Check Phone numbers to see whether a number is connected, or select Talk to our team to request one.
Once your agent is built and tested, it needs a place where customers can talk to it. Cypher LM gives every Cypher V agent three channels: a website widget, a share link and, when one is connected, a phone number. This article explains what each channel does, who it is for, and what state each one is in today, so you can decide where to start.
Where to find your deployment settings
All three channels live in one place. You can open them for every agent at once, or for a single agent.
- In the dashboard sidebar, hover over Agents and select Deploy. This opens the Deploy section with three tabs: Website widget, Share links and Phone numbers.
- To work on one agent only, go to Agents, open the agent, and select the Deployment tab. You see the same three tabs, already set to that agent.
- From the agents list you can also use an agent's menu: Copy website code copies its widget snippet and Copy call link copies its share link.
The three channels compared
Website widget | Share links | Phone numbers | |
|---|---|---|---|
What callers use | A voice-call button on your website | A link or QR code opened on a phone or computer | A normal phone call |
Who it is for | Your customers and website visitors | Your team and test callers today | Anyone with a phone |
Setup | Paste one line of code into your site | Copy the link, or download the QR code | Our team connects a number for you |
Status today | Live (included in paid plans) | Live, but callers need a Cypher LM login | Shows Not connected yet until a number is connected |
Website widget
The widget is a small button that sits in a corner of your website. A visitor taps it, allows the microphone, and talks to your agent straight away, with no app to download. It is the best way to let customers reach your agent today. You choose which websites it may appear on, where it sits on the page and its colour. Step-by-step instructions are in Add Cypher LM to your website, and WordPress users can follow Add Cypher LM to a WordPress site.
Share links
Every agent has a call link that opens a page where someone can talk to the agent from a phone or computer. You can share it by WhatsApp, SMS or email, or download a QR code. Right now people need a Cypher LM login to use the link, so it suits your own team, colleagues and test callers. Public call links for customers are coming soon. See Share your agent's call link.
Phone numbers
A phone number lets customers call your agent like any other business line. The Phone numbers tab reads your real telephony status, so it never shows sample numbers. Until a number is connected, the badge reads Not connected yet and the tab explains that your agents work on your website, share links and personal call links in the meantime.
Under What a phone number unlocks, the tab lists what changes once a number is connected:
- Customers call your agent: inbound calls are answered by your Cypher V agent, day or night.
- Your agent calls customers: outbound tasks and campaigns can dial customers directly instead of sending a personal call link.
- Confirmation calls: Cypher S can phone customers the day before an appointment to check they will attend.
To get a number:
- Open Agents › Deploy › Phone numbers.
- In Get a number, select Talk to our team and tell us which country you need.
- Our team connects a number for you and links it to your agent. If you are not ready yet, select Notify me instead.
- When the number is live, the badge changes to Connected and the agent's Controls tab shows the number in its Phone number card.
Numbers are available for Pakistan (+92) through a licensed operator, the United States, the United Kingdom and more. UAE numbers can receive calls only.
Which channel should I start with?
If your customers find you online, start with the website widget: it takes a few minutes and works on almost any website builder. If most of your customers phone you, request a number from our team as early as possible, and use the widget while it is being connected. Use the share link to let colleagues try the agent before you put it in front of customers.
