Quick answer

To delete a meeting note:

  1. Go to Notes and open Meeting notes.
  2. Open the meeting's menu and choose Delete meeting notes.
  3. Confirm. If a Google Doc exists, it is deleted too.

These are the questions we hear most about Cypher N, the note taker. For a tour of the feature, start with Cypher N note taker overview.

What does Cypher N record and keep?

For calls your agents answer, Cypher LM keeps the recording and transcript until you delete them, plus the recap Cypher N writes. For meetings you record on your own device, audio is transcribed and not stored, and uploaded recordings are deleted right after transcription. What stays is the transcript and the notes.

How detailed are meeting notes?

Meeting notes are written from the whole meeting, not a short excerpt. You get an overview, attendees, action items, next steps and detailed notes for each topic discussed. Long meetings may take a little longer to finish; the note shows when the detailed notes are ready.

Which languages does it support?

Cypher LM agents speak English, Urdu or both. When you record a meeting, choose the language that matches the conversation. Mixed English and Urdu is supported; Roman Urdu words are captured as text.

Where are my notes saved?

  • In the dashboard, under Notes › Calls and Notes › Meeting notes.
  • In your Google Drive, when Google Docs is connected: each meeting gets its own doc, and a running call-notes doc lists calls newest first.
  • On your computer, if you select Export (.md) on a note.

How do I delete notes?

  1. Go to Notes and open Meeting notes.
  2. Choose Delete meeting notes for the meeting.
  3. Read the confirmation. If the meeting was filed in Google Docs, deleting also removes that doc from your Google Docs.
  4. Confirm. This can't be undone.

To delete a call's recording, transcript and summary, open the call in Calls and choose Delete recording & transcript…. The call still counts in your totals and minutes.

Can the note taker join meetings on its own?

Yes, in two ways. From Notes › New note, paste a Google Meet link and select Send note taker. From Bookings › My calendar, open a meeting and choose Invite note taker; it joins when the meeting starts. Either way, someone in the meeting needs to let it in.

How long does it take for notes to appear?

Call recaps usually appear within a minute or two of the call ending. Meeting notes start as soon as the meeting ends or you select End & summarise; a long meeting takes longer because every part of it is written up, and the detailed notes may finish a few minutes after the summary and action items.

Does it work with Zoom or Microsoft Teams?

The note taker joins Google Meet. For other tools, choose Record on this device and capture with your microphone, or Upload a recording after the meeting.

What if my plan doesn't include Cypher N?

Transcripts stay available on every plan. Summaries, key details and action items are written only with Cypher N, which is included in Premium and the free trial and is available as an add-on. See Plans and billing.

Who can see my notes?

Notes belong to your Cypher LM account and are visible to your team according to their roles. See User roles and permissions. Files in Google Drive follow your Drive sharing settings.
